The purpose of The Rio Grande Rift Institute is to promote hands-on learning in the real world. We support the transmission of knowledge and skills in traditional arts and crafts inherited from the past, and we probe the future continuation of and innovation in these practices through classes, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
With the support of the New Mexico Arts Commission as well as ongoing support from private donors, we offer affordable mini-workshops in a range of valuable skills. We also offer FULL SCHOLARSHIPS to our stone carving workshops. (See Scholarships for details.)
Your donation makes this work possible. Funds will go directly towards sponsoring students. We focus on area students in an effort to expand their options for the future.
Thank you for supporting our mission.
